Watched Hellsing. It was ok. Definitely watchable, but not amazingly great either. Dislikes- The artwork wasn't quite my style. All the characters had exceptionally large noses. They focused a bit too much on the guns. Also, the last episode didn't really seem like the conclusion. I had to look it up on the internet to make sure there weren't any more episodes I was missing. The characters didnt have enough backstory. Who the hell are the bad guys? Whats up with the deformed guy, why does he look like that? Why can that Catholic dude regenerate? Who were the humans doing the microchip thing? How did Alucard end up under the control of the Hellsing family? Also, it was harder than normal to find downloadable episodes. Most the anime series Ive watched is either on tv somewhere, or popular enough to be all over the place. Likes- Pretty decent story. Good enough that I watched the entire series. Opening music was good. (Where I got it, I couldnt fast forward through it so I had to listen to it for every ep, lol) I watched the first episodes of the OVA, Hellsing Ultimate, and it seems like the OVA does a better job. But since its the same story, I'm not going to watch it at least for a year. - natasha , posted 10/01/07 |
