futuristic but humans are medival-ish anyways humans had polluted the earth so much that the plants evolved into converting the pollution into positive clean things, yet it releases toxins and the jungles are killing the humans. they have to wear masks when they go into the jungle. Bugs have evolved to prehistoric sizes and they are not effected by the toxins and they actually protect the plants. So humans are becoming extinct.
